Addressing Violence Against Women in Politics

Violence against women and girls is a pervasive violation of human rights, with profound implications for peace, stability, and socio-economic development. Despite global efforts, Violence Against Women in Politics remains underexplored, with limited data and awareness hindering effective policy formulation and implementation. This initiative aligns with the broader context of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence campaign, with a particular emphasis on the 2023 theme, “INVEST TO PREVENT GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE AGAINST GIRLS AND WOMEN.”

Democracy Moves has planned a virtual leadership lab for December 7, 2023, at 1600EAT. The Leadership Lab will be conducted virtually in a participatory and peer-led format, encouraging open dialogue, knowledge sharing, and collaboration. Sessions will include presentations, case studies, group discussions, and interactive action planning.
